  • Ensuring events comply with these Terms and applicable laws

9. Guest RSVP & SMS Communications

9.1 Guest RSVP

Fellow allows individuals who do not have a Fellow account ("Guests") to RSVP to events. To RSVP as a guest, you must provide your name and verify your phone number via a one-time SMS verification code.

9.2 SMS Opt-In Consent

During the guest RSVP process, you may opt in to receive SMS event updates and reminders by checking the SMS consent checkbox. Opting in is voluntary and not required to complete your RSVP. If you opt in, you consent to receive the following SMS messages related to that event:

  • Event reminders (e.g., 24 hours and 1 hour before the event)
  • Updates sent by the event host about the event (e.g., schedule changes, cancellations)

Phone verification codes are sent separately as part of the RSVP process and are not affected by your opt-in preference.

9.3 Message Frequency and Charges

SMS frequency depends on event activity. You may receive up to approximately 5 messages per event. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Fellow does not charge for SMS messages.

9.4 Opting Out of SMS

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from Fellow. You may also opt out by unchecking the SMS consent checkbox when RSVPing, or by removing your RSVP from the event. For help, reply HELP to any SMS from Fellow or contact support@fellow.so.

9.5 Guest Data

Guest phone numbers are used solely for event RSVP verification and event-related communications. We do not use guest phone numbers for marketing or share them with third parties for promotional purposes. Phone numbers are stored in hashed form in our system identifiers.

9.6 Account Migration

If a guest later creates a Fellow account using the same phone number, their guest RSVPs are automatically migrated to their account. Future event communications will be delivered as in-app notifications rather than SMS.

10. Premium Subscriptions

9.1 Organization Premium Subscription

Organization accounts require a paid subscription:

  • Monthly: $9.99/month
  • Annual: $99/year

9.2 Payment Processing

Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payments are subject to the terms and policies of the respective app store.

9.3 Subscription Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may manage subscriptions through your device's app store settings.
