Long-press a message (or double-tap it) to react and reply.

React with a quick emoji from the top row, or tap + for every emoji.
Reply in a thread with Reply in Thread. The message shows how many replies it has.
Quote a message with Quote in Reply.
Mention someone by typing @ and choosing their name.
Copy a message with Copy Text.

On the web, hover a message to react and reply.
